The Sexy Chef screening in Oakland, Tuesday May 4th at the Parkway Theater.

That's right, I'm leaving this Friday, April 30th, for four days and five nights where I'll be in the Bay Area to promote our Tuesday, May 4th showing at the Parkway Theater at 9:15 pm. I'll be in attendance to introduce the movie and sell our DVDs, tee shirts, buttons and more after the movie. The Parkway Theater is in Oakland, serves Beer, pizza and other food, and is located at 1834 Park Blvd., Oakland, CA 94606, (510) 814-2400. If you have friends in that area, please let them know about the screening so we can have a great turn out.

This is our first non-festival showing in a theater in another state, so I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Through the help of my friend Landry (writer of the super-cool comic book, Little Gloomy, we have thousands of flyers going out on pizza boxes to UC Berkley students, who are in the middle of finals, so that should help. I'll also be at WonderCon in SF for Saturday and Sunday, pimping the show and meeting prospective theaters and video stores, still, any help is appreciated, as always.

The April 18th showing of THE SEXY CHEF at the Atlanta ComiCon, was very well received by a mid-sized crowd. Though we weren't there in attendance, we were told that the people there truly enjoyed the movie, laughing out loud a lot, especially over some of the Tank and Mike Buda lines. We didn't get into Australia's Down Under Film Festival, which would've been our first international showing, but then they only accepted one USA film, so we don't feel too bad about that.

I've been passing out more copies to theaters, movie bookers, distributors, actors, agents and stores and we should be adding a list onto our website that will highlight up-coming showings, video stores we're available at and past cool places we've already played. We'll also be adding a Producer's Notes sections, with FAQs and notes about promoting and making the movie, and info on our next movie, already in pre-production.
