C.K. LICHENSTEIN II Producer
email C.K
Having been friends of the Smith Bros. and Dave Walker for several years, C.K. was one of the first people to
be asked to help out with The Sexy Chef. With a background in graphic and web design as well as being an award
winning painter and a writer of comic books, magazines and short stories, for the likes of Top Shelf, BadAzz MoFo,
Too Much Coffee Man, Paperback Jukebox, Oddjob, Odd Adventure Zine, Indy Magazine and more, it was uncertain what
he'd do on the movie.
"I'd always wanted to work in movies," C.K. said, "but never thought I'd actually have the chance. I was ecstatic
when the Smith Brothers asked me to help them and immediately began lobbying to be producer. Hopefully, they don't
regret it too much." His energy, optimism and creative juices helped to keep things flowing behind the scenes as
well as in front of the camera. Though Walker acquired the excellent Chinook Winds for our casino shoot, C.K. was
helpful in acquiring numerous other locations as well as extras and Phaedra as the elusive Sexy Chef.
As for his two roles in the movie (as Sunshine and Bar Thug), he had this to say, "I'm really glad I got to act
having grown up acting. The fun thing was my roles enabled me to threaten the actors on screen as well as I was
already doing off screen plus I felt like The Smith Bros.' Scott Mosier to Kevin Smith." After principle photography
wrapped C.K. kept working with marketing materials and also with input for editing and even music. Since then,
he's tried to work with other filmmakers on several failed projects with other directors, and has helped Phaedra
get several new roles including Nobody American in which he played another heavy as an FBI agent. Currently he
is working on several short films, more marketing for SC, some work with Logan (FM) Creighton and the next Smith
Bros. film project. Producing is just now in his blood.
